Do you serve international clients?

We welcome inquiries from organizations outside Canada. International engagements are considered based on the scope of work and relevant jurisdiction. Get in touch to discuss whether and how Sun Dog Strategies could assist.

How much do your services cost?

Our small-scope services have transparent, fixed pricing and scope. Larger custom engagements are quoted based on project scope, as well as organizational size and needs.

Do you offer legal advice or technical AI implementation?

Sun Dog delivers governance, risk, policy, organizational practices to small-to-medium businesses. Legal advice and technical AI implementation are currently outside the scope of our services.

Can you review our existing AI policies or practices?

Yes. Sun Dog can review existing AI policies, guidance, and current practices, as well as help develop policies where none currently exist.

Are you open to contract or collaborative work?

Yes. Sun Dog Strategies is open to working with other consultants, firms, and organizations on project-based or collaborative engagements, whether providing specialized AI governance support or bringing complementary expertise into a client project.

Does my business need to already use AI to work with you?

No. Our services are suitable for businesses that are considering AI adoption as well as those already using it.

Recognizing the growing impact of AI on society, Denis developed his interest in AI and public policy while completing his Master's in International Relations and International Security at the University of Groningen in 2024. His thesis examined the European Union's AI Act, the world's first comprehensive legal framework for AI, giving him an in-depth understanding of emerging approaches to AI risk, governance, and accountability.

As businesses increasingly adopt AI across their operations, Denis believes organizations should be proactive and informed about how they use it, with governance that supports responsible adoption without creating unnecessary complexity.

Before launching Sun Dog, Denis developed policies and procedures across various private and governmental organizations, including guidelines and rules around technology and AI use. Denis founded Sun Dog Strategies in Alberta in 2026, seizing an opportunity to bridge the gap between AI governance theory and organizational realities.
